Songs, unfinished thoughts, old memories, and the little things that make life what it is. This is where I keep some of mine.
I'm Nasim Shiplu Kamal — an independent Bengali singer and songwriter, finding my way through music, words, and the stories that stay with us.
I was born in Noakhali, Bangladesh. I'm an independent Bengali singer and songwriter, and music is an important part of how I express myself and make sense of the things that happen along the way.
I also enjoy writing — collecting thoughts, revisiting memories, and paying attention to the small details of everyday life. A passing conversation, a familiar place, a feeling that refuses to leave: sometimes these become the beginning of a song or a piece of writing.
This website is my attempt to bring those things together. It's a home for my original Bengali music, poetry, personal reflections, and the stories behind what I create.
Not everything here needs to be polished or finished. Some things are simply worth keeping, and some are worth sharing.
Music gives a feeling
a place to belong.
Every song begins somewhere — in a memory, a conversation, a question, or a feeling that stays long enough to become a melody.
Music and writing may look like different pursuits, but for me, they often begin with the same thing: the desire to hold on to a feeling and give it a voice.
Original Bengali songs shaped by melody, emotion, relationships, and the experiences that leave a lasting impression.
Personal reflections, poems, and observations about people, memories, growing older, and the many contradictions of being human.
Notes from the ongoing journey of making music, exploring creative ideas, learning along the way, and finding meaning in the process itself.
Whether you've discovered a song you like, have something to share, or simply want to connect, I'd be glad to hear from you.
